Find the polar pattern that suits you. The AT2050 offers cardioid, fig.8, and omnidirectional polar patterns. Making the microphone useful for a wide array of applications. Selecting fig.8 will enable you to record using both sides of the capsule. This is the classic choice for recording two backing vocalists simultaneously whilst ensuring excellent rejection from the sides. Omnidirectional ensures 360 degrees pick up, capturing every nuance in the room whilst reducing the proximity effect. Thanks to its low noise you'll be able to record the most delicate of sources without the worry of introducing mechanical noise or hiss.
